Did you know we take donations?
The Cricket’s Nest takes donations that our members may use in their creations. Anything that might be useful in crafting a unique items. These supplies can vary from yarn to wood, to almost anything. We do NOT take clothes, broken items, toys, or appliances. If you’re unsure, please give us a call.
Membership Details
Members enjoy the exclusive benefit of consigning hand made items at the Cricket’s Nest Craft Shop and lower Festival fees. If you meet the membership eligibility criteria, you are welcome to download the New Member Application on this page or you can visit the Cricket’s Nest Craft Shop for a printed copy. After completing the requested information, contact the Nest at 336-659-4315 to make a membership evaluation appointment.
Eligible applicants must meet all of the following criteria to obtain and keep membership.
- Resident of Forsyth County, NC
- Age 55 or Older
- Consigned items must be a minimum of 75% hand crafted by the member and made within the past year
- Dues paid upon acceptance and renewed annually
Membership Benefits
- Becoming a member of the Cricket Craftsmen gives you the right to sell your hand-crafted products in the Cricket’s Nest Craft Shop.
- Nest members enjoy a lower fee for festivals than non-members.
- Regular email communications keep members informed of consigned items, sales, and settlement for all inventory activity.
- Members have access to a free, online portal with inventory and activity details.
- New Members have access to a brief, informal orientation.
Annual Membership Renewal
- Membership Year is January 1 – December 31
- Annual dues must be paid to renew and maintain active membership.
- New Member Dues – $30 payable upon accepted application
- Annual Member Dues – $30 payable between October 1 and December 31 of the current year for the upcoming year.
- Late Payment of Annual Dues – $45 (includes $15 administrative fee)
New Member Application
- Complete the Cricket’s Nest Membership Application. Click the Download Button or the link Membership Application to save a copy on your computer. You can also stop by the Nest to pick up a printed copy.
- Contact Cricket’s Nest at 336-659-4315 to schedule a membership evaluation appointment.
- Attend the appointment and bring your completed application and hand-crafted item samples. During the appointment, we will discuss your application and evaluate your items to verify they meet our quality standards.
- A Cricket’s Nest Staff member will communicate your membership decision at the conclusion of the evaluation appointment. If approved, your New Member dues will be collected and you will receive your membership number. Please make checks payable to Cricket Craftsmen, Inc.
